H.E. SHEIKHA HUSSA SABAH AL-SALEM AL-SABAH

Director-General of Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah, Co-Owner of The Al-Sabah Collection

H.E. Sheikha Hussa Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah is the Director-General of Dar al-Athar al-Islamiyyah, a non-profit organisation established to manage the collection and the cultural activities that have evolved around the world. She co-owns The al-Sabah Collection, one of the largest and most comprehensive privately owned art collections in the world with her husband Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmed al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Kuwait. Sheikha Hussa sits on the Boards of Trustees of Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and The Museum of Fine Arts in Houston. In addition, she serves on the Corporation Visiting Committee for the Department of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a member of the ALIPH Foundation Board.
