María Nazareth Vilardo is Market Director of the National Institute of Tourism Promotion of Argentine Republic responsible for touristic promotion of Argentina worldwide. She has been working in the tourism industry for almost 15 years now developing international market’s projects, among them is the Chinese Market. Both in the public and the private sector, she has been working in the development of new incoming markets for Argentina. Ms. Vilardo has a degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

After more than 20 years of rapid growth, China's outbound tourism has entered a new stage of development. The China Outbound Tourism Workshop will feature China's leading outbound tour operators, industry experts and destination promotion agencies addressing questions such as: What are the new characteristics of China’s outbound tourism market? How have the market demand, customer structure and products shifted? What are the requirements for a destination’s tourism suppliers?

The workshop will also examine South America as an emerging long-haul destination market. What are the “selling points” of tourism in South American countries, such as Argentina and Brazil? How can these destinations attract more Chinese tourists? As more Chinese tourists favor customized experiences, how can destinations provide innovative tourism products and quality services?
